SYNOPSIS

Harlem, my birth place. It is full of history, beauty and so many other things. This is why I wrote this poem six years ago. I wanted the world to feel my love of Harlem through my words. Back then, I saw a sign that said “NOT FOR SALE” in a window. Fast-forward to now, so many landmarks, homes and stores have been sold or went out of business. This sparked my decision to turn my poem into a visual. I know this is only a snapshot of what Harlem is but I’m hoping I did it justice.
