NEW PANTHER: A CALL FOR ACTION       SAGE LOVE, NOLA ASANTEWAA •  USA • 2018 • Documentary

New Panther: A Call for Action is a documentary filmed in Washington DC, New York City, Detroit, and Chicago. These cities were selected because they are all media epicenters where grave human rights issues have been highlighted including police brutality, inhumane living conditions, underage sex trafficking, increasingly hostile racially charged situations, economic disadvantages and much more. Each city filmed will show the problems that community is facing on a local level while shedding light on the individuals and organizations who are working to fix these problems through “A Call for Action” in their respective cities. Unlike other related documentaries that only inform us about the problem, “New Panther: A Call for Action” empower its audience by first educating about the problems and then showcasing different organizations or movements that are about the change they want to see in their community.
